Phase 1 of a length of 10.8 km is expected to start south of Oran to Hai Badr district then cross Mouahidine before be in correspondence with the Oran tramway in Sidi El Bachir then serve SNTF railway station and the headquarters of the wilaya of Oran; Metro then continue north east of the city in Hai Mactaa Gambetta and finally along the Millennium Boulevard and arrive at Bir El Djir1. La phase 1 d'une longueur de 10,8 km devrait commencer au sud est d'Oran à Haï Badr puis traverser Haï Mouahidine avant d'être en correspondance avec le tramway d'Oran à Sidi El Bachir puis de desservir la gare SNTF ainsi que le siège de la wilaya d'Oran; le métro continuera ensuite au nord est de la ville à Haï Mactaa et Gambetta pour finalement longer le boulevard Millénium et d'arriver à Bir El Djir.
